2022-2023 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Advance Soccer Complex , opening soon , will be a tremendous quality of life and sports tourism asset for Enid .
• No Man ’ s Land Foods completed a major expansion project in Enid .
• Renew Energy broke ground on their new wind turbine remanufacturing facility . The company will provide 45 full-time jobs initially with the potential to employ up to 100 .
• Bri-Steel announced they are opening a seamless pipe manufacturing facility in the former GEFCO building .
• NextEra Energy Resources is planning to build a 250-megawatt solar energy center paired with 200-megawatts of battery storage outside of Enid .
• PT is expanding to provide increased stainless-steel capacity .
• Kaw Lake water pipeline is under construction . The project , scheduled for completion in 2024 , will provide a diversified , sustainable water source for Enid .
• New Robert M . Greer Campus construction is nearing completion . The facility will ensure that Enid continues to offer quality care for dually diagnosed clients .
• Improvements at Enid Woodring Regional Airport include a south ramp upgrade and a second new joint use hangar . The projects will provide mission support for Vance AFB .
• Wind development investment in Garfield Co . has topped $ 1.5 billion . Additional projects are planned .
• Downtown Enid is flourishing with new restaurants , bars , breweries , boutiques , and art projects .
• “ The One ”, a six-week Christmas festival in Downtown Enid featuring a 140 ft . Christmas tree , concerts , expanded ice skating rink and much more , attracted thousands of visitors to Enid .
• Great Plains Bank opened at its new location in The District .
• Enid 2022 retail sales were up and on pace for the Billion by 2025 goal .
• Cherokee Strip Community Foundation and ERDA partnered to provide the Work in Enid Award , a new talent attraction program which provides up to $ 10,000 in student loan relief for individuals who move to and take a job in Enid .
