GREATER CHEYENNE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The mission of the Greater Cheyenne Cham-
ber of Commerce is to make the greater
Cheyenne area a more prosperous and
quality community. Comprised of infl u-
ential leaders and business professionals,
the Chamber is able to meet its mission.
This combination is a powerful partnership
which produces results.
During 2017, 50% of the Chamber’s compo-
sition consisted of businesses which have 1-5
employees. The other half is comprised of 6-25
Employees (24%) and 26+ Employees (26%).
According to the United States Small Business
Administration, a small business is less than
500 employees. It is safe to say that Cheyenne
and the Laramie County business community
is primarily small business.
INVESTMENTS
As the leading voice for business for the great-
er Cheyenne area and the State of Wyoming,
the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce
made large strides to adapt investment struc-
tures to enhance overall value to the local
business community. The transition included
an “initiative” focused mindset which allowed
for partner investments to be directed to spe-
cifi c areas of community and economic devel-
opment for our region. Generated revenue in
2017 primarily was direct investments made
by businesses with their commitment to these
defi ned causes (54%). Additional revenue came
from individual contribution towards govern-
mental affairs efforts (29%) and with strength-
ening programming for a purpose, the revenue
generated from solely events and programs
was a total of 22%.
RETURN
Investments into the Greater Cheyenne Cham-
ber of Commerce yield a high return with both
direct and indirect benefi ts. With the initiative
