The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) has launched a program called Wyoming Grown. Wyoming
Grown seeks to recruit skilled professionals back to their roots – bringing back to our State high wage
professionals such as engineers, doctors, computer programmers and nurses, who have since left our
borders but are considering returning. Wyoming Grown will utilize the agency’s state-wide network of
employment specialists to work hand-in-hand with participants to connect them with job opportunities with
businesses in our State. The personal recruiters, found throughout the state, will also be a direct point
of contact for businesses in the community for Wyoming Grown jobs. As a point person for community
businesses, personal recruiters will assist employers in posting high-skilled jobs easily and conveniently to
the agency’s job matching database, Wyoming@Work. The purpose of the new program is to help individuals
with “in-demand career skill sets” the opportunity to be paired with the State’s top employers. Wyoming
Grown job seekers do not necessarily need to have ties to Wyoming.
