Children’s Museum of Cheyenne (CMC) is a to-bebuild, Universal Design facility to open in 2017. The
hands-on, interactive museum will be focused on
birth to 14 year olds with a variety of ways for older
adolescents and adults to volunteer. A mid-size
performance space will be offered on the top floor.
CMC will be built in “the hole” on Lincolnway, an area
of blight since a fire in 2004. The new building will
respect the historical significance of downtown and
will provide a new level of vibrancy. CMC has entered
the schematic design phase of the architecture
and master concept phase of the exhibit design
with Tobin & Associates. According to their Board
Chairman, Amy Surdam “Like the patchwork on our
fence, we will weave our children, our city, and our
community together. Our downtown will thrive and
shine. Together we will change the landscape of our
community, the future of our citizens, and the lives
of our children.” Donate, volunteer and get engaged
in this downtown vitalization project by visiting their
website at www.childrensmuseumofcheyenne.org.
