By: Stephanie Joy Meisner, Director of Marketing & Communication The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce’s mission is “To make the greater Cheyenne area a more prosperous and quality community by being the voice of business; by advocating and promoting the Cheyenne area as a regional business center and by serving as a leader for community and economic growth.” To accomplish the mission, the Chamber, is comprised of committees which thoroughly focus on creating a strong local economy, promote the community, provide networking opportunities, and represent the needs of the business to government with political action. Annually, the Board of Directors determines a strategic plan for the coming year. Projects and programs are then determined, as well as current efforts evaluated. Business Professionals unite and work closely with one another within the Chamber Committees. Everyone brings their expertise to the table and contributes to a variety of task forces. Explore each committee’s accomplishments and hear from the 2014 Committee Chairman to learn from their experiences. CHAMBER BOARD OF DIRECTORS The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meets once a month in the 2nd Floor Depot Board Room on the 3rd Monday at 11:30 a.m. Annually the Board of Directors will nominate new board members and Chamber Partners will vote on the slated leadership. The Chamber provides a great opportunity to join with others to promote business in Cheyenne. A robust business climate and a strong economy benefits everyone. I wanted to be a part of making Cheyenne a better place to live, work, play, and do business.
