Department of Defense Youth
Program operating in a partnership with
the Wyoming National Guard since 1994.

STARBASE Academy explained during the
October 2014 Military Affairs Committee
Luncheon, the success of the program and
the importance of “hands-on and mindson” activities, making subjects like science,
technology, engineering and math, also
known as STEM, more engaging.

Director, stated “The work the Greater
Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce is
doing is exactly what the Chamber should
be doing with activities like the fee cost
study. To keep a community growing and
developing there are Four Tiers- Leadership
and Development: Quality of Life,
Workforce Development and Infrastructure
Development; Entrepreneur Development
and Existing Business Development; New
Business Recruitment; Leadership and Civic
Development and Public Policy.”
arger than life is the Annual Cheyenne
Christmas Parade where Santa Claus
is welcomed to the Cheyenne Community
for the holidays. More than 100 floats
are featured in the “Tales of Christmas”
themed parade that lights up the streets
of downtown. Following the parade, Santa
Claus and Mayor Rick Kaysen conducted
the Christmas Tree Lighting Cermony
and the Cheyenne Depot Plaza lit up with
sparkling lights for everyone to enjoy during
December.
