ED MEGGITT(‘ 86) lives near Alexandra, running the family trout farming operation, Goulburn River Trout, with his brother DERRICK(’ 87). Ed has been trout farming since 1990 after completing an Agricultural Science degree at Melbourne University, where he met his wife, Sally, at Ormond College. Ed and Sally have four children, WILL(‘ 12) now working at Deloitte, Kate studying commerce at Melbourne University, and twins JAMES and ALEX in Year 8 at Scotch. Ed sits on the board of Seafood Industry Victoria and heads up the Victorian Trout Association. He retains a keen interest in Scotch life, and is the current President of the Boarders’ Parents Association.

ED MONTGOMERY(‘ 90) and his wife Lucinda have welcomed a son, Orlando Myles Montgomery, born 8 February 2017, a brother to India and Jasmine, and signed up for Scotch.
ANDREW GARDE(‘ 97) is currently President of the Hydrocephalus Support Association, a charity supporting people with hydrocephalus and their families, and promoting research into the condition. The association recently campaigned to help the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia establish the clinical quality Australasian Shunt Registry, and also raised $ 45,000 for the society last year. Andrew was recently appointed Leader in Charge of 1st Hawthorn Scout Group. Andrew has worked for Telstra for the past 17 years, and received a directors’ award for his involvement in Telstra’ s 2G( GSM) mobile network closure last December.

OLIVER HENDRIKS(‘ 15), CHRIS RICHARDS(’ 13) and NICK BERNARDO(’ 12) have returned to Australia after a whirlwind tour of the UK and the Republic of Ireland with their college a capella group, the Trinity Tigertones. Stops included St Andrew’ s, Dublin, London and Oxford.

speech for the award, Adam made special mention of the support and guidance of his teachers at Scotch, including Michael Waugh and Katrina Wilson, and of the value of his Scotch education. Adam also won the
Warburton Film Festival in June 2016. Adam’ s 2015 classmate ALEC UITTENBOSCH was nominated for‘ best senior secondary music video’ in the ATOM awards, and although he didn’ t take out the award, it was an honour for Alec to be nominated for it. Alec won the junior commendation award at the 2016 Warburton Film Festival, and the student category at the Dandenong Short Cuts Film Festival in July 2016.
