News Senior School Awards MISS ANNE ORGEOLET, JERRY LUO, OLIVER MCLEISH, DANIEL QIN, ANGUS RITCHIE, WILLIAM M SUTHERLAND, TIAN TIAN LAN, DR MARK JOHNSTON, TONY JIANG, MR TONY HENNESSY, MS EMMIE-CLARE LECKIE, MR PATRICK HUYBERS. ABSENT: SAM CHAMPION. EIGHT BOYS FROM THE CLASS OF 2017 RECEIVE PREMIER’S AWARDS 26 Eight Scotch Collegians from the Class of 2017 have been recognised for their excellent VCE work, receiving 2018 Premier’s Awards at a ceremony in Melbourne on 15 May. Four boys received Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards, and four received Premier’s VCE Study Awards. Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards — presented to students who have achieved study scores of 46 or higher in at least five VCE studies — went to Tony Jiang, Jerry Luo, Oliver McLeish and Angus Ritchie. Premier’s VCE Study Awards went to Sam Champion (Australian Politics), Tian Tian Lan (Literature), William M Sutherland (French) and Daniel Qin (Ancient History and English Language). Congratulations to all the boys, who received their awards in front of an audience of 1100. They were among 274 students who received 302 awards across 85 subjects. While congratulating the students on their excellent results, the Premier, Hon Daniel Andrews MP, acknowledged the role of parents, mentors, teachers and school leaders whose support helped the students to reach their high level of academic achievement.
