an attitude of service
The main theme of this edition of
Great Scot is focused on Scotch’s most
famous son, General Sir John Monash.
John Monash was a man who spent
his life serving others, whether it was
through his efforts in World War I
or his wonderful contributions to our
state of Victoria through his planning

and engineering of major projects and
facilities.
As a nation I would like to think we
hold in high regard those who give of
themselves to others. There are so many
examples of ‘serving others’ throughout
history; individuals who have dedicated
their lives to improving the lot of others.
People such as Mother Teresa and Nelson
