ABSENT: LACHLAN APPLETON AN INTERRUPTED SEASON, BUT PLENTY OF PRIDE IN PERFORMANCE Our boys take great pride in wearing their school colours each week The summer season of 2019/20 was extraordinary, to say the very least. The coronavirus threat has had a significant impact on our sport program, with the cancellation of the APS Head of the River and the swimming and diving finals greatly disappointing our boys. The final two rounds of sport were cancelled for all under-age teams, and the final round for our firsts programs was also impacted, with the health and wellbeing of the boys put first. The traditional APS and AGS representative games were not held, and we are looking at a lengthy delay to our winter sports program. The anticipation leading into the rowing, swimming and diving finals certainly indicated confidence in our ability to perform well in these events, built on many hours of hard work and sacrifice. The rowing 1st VIII had defeated all comers in lead-up events, including impressive wins in the New South Wales and Victorian State www.scotch.vic.edu.au Great Scot 47
