Great Scot Number 156 – April 2019
Young boys are interesting creatures. They
can often be quite contradictory, saying one thing
but meaning something else. They can desire to
be heard, but will often not feel comfortable in
speaking up. They like to push ‘the rules’, but
can feel insecure when they do not know what
the boundaries are. Boys can instinctively know
when another boy is doing the wrong thing, but
can’t always recognise this in their own actions.
Maybe that is a trait in all of us, not just in young
boys. They will want to try new experiences and
challenges, but are often more comfortable letting
others try them first.
