Paul was also well known at the rugby barbecue organised by the Scrum Club and the Old Scotch Rugby Club .
He created the famous Egg and Bacon McRugby Burger ( as well as a fabulous poster to promote it ), and he was often the first at the barbecue , frying up the goods , greeting parents and listening to tales of the Scotch journey .
At the OSCA Presidents ’ Dinner , Paul ’ s posthumous award was accepted by his friend , Sara Cuming .
NEIL HART-SMITH (’ 60 ) has served the Old Scotch Collegians ’ Association and Scotch College in a number of significant ways , with his involvement in the Old Scotch Bushwalking Club , the Koomerang Ski Club and the Old Scotch Lodge No . 396 .
In 1995 , Neil was the Old Scotch Bushwalking Club ’ s inaugural Treasurer . He established the club ’ s finances on a firm footing at a time when the Bushwalking Club was the fastest growing club in OSCA . He was one of the four founders of the club , and served as President from June 2003 to March 2008 , and again from March 2021 , a position he still holds today .
During his two terms as President , Neil has steered the club from one successful year of bushwalking to another . In 2005 , under Neil ’ s direction , the club introduced the now popular midweek walks which greatly expanded the number of walks available to members .
Neil joined the Koomerang Ski Club in 1964 , and since then has been the Honorary Club Auditor for over 25 years ( up to 2003 ), and Club President for seasons 2004 and 2005 . Neil has also been heavily involved in work with the lodges . He was nominated and endorsed as a life member at the 38th annual general meeting on 27 March 2002 .
Neil was also Master of the Old Scotch Masonic Lodge in 2014 and again in 2017 . For many years Neil has been the Honorary Auditor for both the Old Scotch Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Metropolitan Lodge on Instruction . Through Neil ’ s diligent attention to his Masonic tasks , he was invited to join Grand Lodge . This honour is a two-year commitment . Neil accomplished his duties

diligently and has now been asked to continue in a newly-formed role as Finance Adviser .
ENG HWA TAN was born in 1951 , 100 years after the founding of Scotch College . He picked up badminton from a young age with his brothers in Penang , Malaysia .
Together with their father , sporting pursuits – and particularly badminton – were central to their leisure-time activities . However , sibling rivalry ensured that this leisurely pursuit was always played with ferocious intensity , leading to rapid skill development !
