The OSCA Office team welcomes Jacob Hooke (’ 22 ). Jacob will be assisting the Young Old Boys ’ ( YOBs ) committee with their engagement activities and marketing communication . At school , Jacob was Captain of Drama , a Prefect and Captain of the Hill as a boarder . He brings an enthusiastic approach to the team . The YOBs play a crucial role in driving engagements related to Young Old Boys and the Year 12 Class .

OSCA has had an exciting start to the year with a calendar full of opportunities for our community to get together , including reunions , our traditional Annual Dinner , Scotch Family events internationally , and closer to home , a Business Breakfast , Golf Days and more . It was a little weird hosting the Class of 2018 five-year reunion with my son Eddie (’ 18 ) part of the cohort .
Should the ' 3 ' in 2023 not equate to a reunion for you ( see dates in this edition ), don ' t forget that a number of year levels choose to hold their own dinners , lunches or catch-ups , using communications from the OSCA Office . If you have a function you wish to promote , we can certainly do that for you . It ' s all part of the Cardinal Thread ! We are already seeking year group leaders for 2024 reunions . If you would like to be involved please liaise with the OSCA Office .

My involvement with the Old Scotch Football Club as a young lad was the catalyst for how I became involved back at Scotch some 10 years ago . At a community level I have coached boys ’ and girls ’ teams at the Glen Iris Gladiators FC , and I was delighted when asked to assist the coaches of the Old Scotch Stars . The Old Scotch clubs and societies provide a great service to the Scotch community , and there ’ s no better way to give back than by getting involved . www . scotch . vic . edu . au Great Scot 69
