Chandler (' 06 ), former Captain of Music , now a partner in a London law firm and still an active violinist .
Obviously , it wasn ’ t all music . There was magnificent and historical architecture to admire , museums to visit , the Tower of London , Harrods , and a chance to savour a sense of history as we performed in some ancient venues where so many famous artists had performed before us .
Most memorable , perhaps , were the standing ovations that the orchestra received at a number of our nine concerts , and being appreciated by a general public audience , rather than an audience from the Scotch community . It was one of the most successful tours ever – and parents of the boys who performed
have every right to feel very proud ! My thanks to the musicians , to my colleagues and to the parents for letting their sons have this unforgettable experience .
