NEW SENIOR SCHOOL STAFF , 2023
JARRID BARTLE has been appointed Head of Outdoor Education . Jarrid comes to us from Cornish College where he has been teaching VCE Outdoor Education . Prior to this , Jarrid worked in Outdoor Education at Mentone Grammar School , and spent time working as an Expedition Leader for World Challenge . Jarrid is highly experienced and well credentialed in the field of Outdoor Education , and is working closely with staff , both in the Junior School and Senior School who are involved in our Outdoor Education Programs .
GARY BUTCHER joins the Mathematics and Science Departments . Gary ’ s most recent teaching appointment was at Bayside College , and prior to that he taught at Katherine High School in the Northern Territory . Gary , who hails from Western Australia , has a background in agribusiness and is a passionate rower , having been Captain of Boats at the Melbourne University Boat Club . In addition to his teaching responsibilities , Gary is a Year 7 Form Teacher .
LISA CASTLES has joined our Design Technology Department , coming to us from Eltham High School where she taught Systems Engineering , Mathematics and Information Technology . Throughout her career , Lisa has also worked as a software developer . In addition to her teaching role , Lisa is a Year 7 Form Teacher .
GUNEY DOGAN joins our Science Department . Guney is an experienced teacher of Biology and Science , and prior to joining us has worked at Roxburgh College and Monash College , where , in addition to teaching senior Biology , he held a number of senior administrative positions . As well as his teaching responsibilities , Guney is a Year 7 Form Teacher . middle school . Edward holds a Bachelor of Science degree , and has completed a Master of Management degree at the University of Melbourne . Edward is teaching Biology , Science and some Mathematics , and is a Year 8 Form Teacher .
JAMES GERSTMAN , another Old Scotch Collegian – from the Class of 1998 – is also returning to Scotch , to join the Physical Education Department . James ’ most recent teaching role was at Brighton Grammar School , where he
