A WARM WELCOME TO NEW YEAR 4 BOYS
During Term 1 , the Year 4 boys completed a number of welcome , leadership and teamwork activities . New boys in Year 4 this year mixed happily and enthusiastically with the ‘ Old boys ’. Here are some of their experiences and observations .
I learnt that being a good leader is to share the job around and not do everything . Tom stood out because he was very encouraging . When someone was doing well , he said , ‘ Well done !’ or ‘ Good try !’. Ryan was a good leader , too , because when we needed new ideas , he gave them . He was the Ideas Man . HAYDEN VO
‘ Meteorites ’ was the hardest challenge . With our group , we had to pick up a basketball with straps linked to a central circular strap . We completed it in about five minutes . Overall , we learnt so much about team-building . Hayden was a really good team player . He let people speak but also gave his ideas . TOM CAPLAN
