Three major trade shows on the horizon
Joe Mulcahy
And our first-ever Wide-Format Guide
I hope you found time to relax with your family and friends
over the summer, and got your batteries recharged. You’ll
likely need that energy with three key trade shows coming
this month and next. There’s the Sign Association of Canada’s
Sign Expo Canada event Sept. 21-22 at the International Cen-
tre in Mississauga, Ontario. Print 18 is Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at
McCormack Place in Chicago. Finally, the SGIA Expo will take
place October 18-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
We’ll be attending all three, and will have booths at Sign Expo
Canada (#641) and Print 18 (#3939). So please stop by, say
hello, and discover how we can help you boost your business
through our printed and digital marketing programs. We have
previews of Print 18 and the SGIA in this issue. We’ll also be
running news items on our website (www.graphicartsmag.
com) in advance of these shows, as well as wrap-up features
after the events conclude.
new markets, technology and equipment, inks, substrates,
finishing, business opportunities, and more. We feel it will
have a very long shelf life because of the detail it contains.
I’d like to thank the advertisers who supported us in this
project, along with our editor-in-chief Filomena Tamburri and
editor Tony Curcio. We’ll also be posting a free digital version
for download on our website.
Please make sure you fill out the renewal form on page 41
to continue to get your FREE copies of our magazine. We’re
audited every two years by the CMCA, that verifies the circula-
tions of over 600 Canadian publications. Finally,
congratulations to Heidelberg and Manroland Sheetfed for
their exceptional sales performances during the first part of
2018. Their success bodes well for our industry.
As always, stay positive and stay focused.
We worked extra hard throughout the summer to bring you
our first-ever 40-page Wide-Format Guide that you’re receiv-
ing with this issue. We trust that you’ll find it helpful, especially
if you intend to enter this growing, lucrative market. In it you’ll
discover information on wide-format’s growth and impact,
