ARLINGTON HOUSING AUTHORITY-TENANT BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE ( TBRA )

The Tenant Based Rental Assistance ( TBRA ) program is a Federally funded program regulated by the U . S . Department of Housing and Urban Development ( HUD ), managed and operated in the City of Arlington by the Housing Authority of the City of Arlington ( AHA ). The funding source for the TBRA program is HUD HOME program funding . HUD allocates HOME funds to the City of Arlington annually . The Arlington City Council determines the amount of HOME funding received by Arlington that will be allocated to the TBRA program .
The purpose of the TBRA program is to provide rental housing assistance in connection with supportive services to home-less persons or other low-income persons in need of decent affordable housing . Housing assistance is provided for up to 2 years . Through the TBRA program , the AHA can assist with rent , utilities , and security deposits for qualified participants . The primary target population is homeless persons .

The Development Corporation of Tarrant County is a certified Community Housing Development Organization ( CHDO ) with the City of Arlington . In this capacity , they are able to develop quality affordable housing units that improve neighborhoods and create opportunities for first-time homebuyers and other low to moderate-income families in Arlington .

LYDLE RIDGE , LLC

Lydle Ridge is a affordable residential development project , it will be developed into a multifamily property for residents 55 years of age and older . This senior housing development will have 52 affordable units and 7 market rate units resulting in 59 total units . With forty-three one-bedroom units and sixteen two-bedroom units , we will be offering affordable units at 30 %, 50 %, and 60 % of Area Median Income ( AMI ) with five of them set aside for HOME units .
