Proclaiming Jesus Christ, Making Disciples, Growing Healthy Churches
The Nazarene Mission, by Pastor Abraham Emmanuel
April 9th, 2013
In the midst of great obstacles the work of
God is progressing in Sri Lanka. Every day
we can see or hear things are happening
against the Christian communities. There
are two Buddhist monks groups working
against Christians. One is Buddhu Bala Senave and the other one Ravana Balaya. If
you type this names in the internet you can
see about them.
But we can find an encouraging Word from
our Lord Jesus in Matthew 10: 17 – 20.
17
But beware of men, for they will hand you
over to the courts and scourge you in their
synagogues; 18 and you will even be brought
before governors and kings for My sake, as a
testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
19
But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for it
will be given you in that hour what you are
to say. 20 For it is not you who speak, but it
is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in
you.
During the Lent season most of the Pastors
who work in Colombo district joined together and had three days - 29th, 30th and 31st open air meetings in Colombo called BLESS
SRI LANKA. The Anglican Bishop and Methodist chairman and lots of other leading
Pastors attended. The meetings were very
successful. Here I have attached some pictures.
Yesterday in our fellowship meeting we
discussed that at the end of July or beginning of August 2013, the North Colombo Pastor fellowship plans to have
open air meetings in the North Colombo itself. We expect about five thousand
people. So please pray for Sri Lanka.
May God bless you,
Your brother in Christ,
