-XQLRU CLASSIC GOLF JUNIOR-AMATEUR Winners Prize Ceremony o promote the game of Golf and to encourage aspiring golfers from across the country, Classic Golf & Country Club in conjunction with the Indian Golf Union introduced a new tournament called the Classic Golf Junior-Amateur Championship 2018. The 5-day competition saw participation from the top upcoming talent in the country with over 75 participants from across India vying for the title. The results were overwhelming with multiple under-par scores. The Club intends to make this a yearly affair and something that aspiring golfers and golf enthusiasts can look forward to. Western Zone Junior Tour The second tournament of the Western Zone Sub Junior and Junior Feeder Tour was held at the par-70 Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC) from 26th March onward with a practice round followed by two tournament rounds on 27th and 28th March 2018. The ¿ rst tournament saw a substantial increase in Junior Golfers participation with 71 entries including 18 junior girls and 53 junior boys. Results after two tournament rounds were as follows. Mr. Hari Narayan, committee member of BPGC, gave away the prizes with Mr. Gaurav Natekar – Double Gold Medallist at Asian Games in Hiroshima in 1994 and recipient of the prestigious Arjuna Award in 1996 for outstanding contribution towards the game of Tennis. 24 G o l f P l u s MAY 2018 B.
