STAFF DEVELOPMENT
WITH PGA IGI
Having skilled personnel in your
team at a golf club can help build
a strong club, with staff who
can provide a unique customer
experience for your members
and customers. The PGA IGI’s
Diploma of Golf Management
can help develop individual’s
skills and knowledge across all
areas of a golfing business, not
just one department.
The PGA IGI delivers Australia’s
only Diploma of Golf
Management qualification.
The 10459NAT Diploma of
Golf Management was written
in consultation with the golf
industry, and has been a
platform for individuals looking
to commence their careers in
golf or further their progression
in to new supervisory and
management roles.
“After much development, we
introduced the Diploma of Golf
Management via E-Learning in
early 2017,” explained Straw.
“We have seen students who
couldn’t study through on
campus learning begin studies in
their desired qualification.”
“Along with this, we have seen
an increase in new students who
are currently working within the
golf industry looking to utilise
the strength of the program for
future career progression in to
supervisory and management
positions at golf clubs.”
The Diploma of Golf
Management (E-Learning)
focuses on the business,
management and operations
for the golf industry. It is a study
program for individuals looking
to broaden and further enhance
their knowledge of all areas of
golf. The qualification will look in
to areas of the golf industry such
as:
- Golf course operations
- Managing competitions,
tournaments and events
- Food and beverage
operations
- Golf club management
- Staff management
- Creating a safe workplace
- Managing budgets and
finances
With the qualification covering
multiple areas of the business
of golf clubs, it can provide
a platform for multi-skilled
individuals within your golf
club. This enables individuals
to understand all areas of the
business and not just the one
department they specialise in.
