Impact  of  Project   • 1055  Children  participating  over  five  days   • 348  Parents  participating  over  five  days   • Coatsville,  Pinehurst  and  Forest  Hill  schools  interested  in  the  SNAG   School  Programme.   • 25  Parents  interested  in  enrolling  their  children  in  an  After  School  or   School  Holiday  Programme.   • Albany  Community  Charitable  Trust  would  like  to  collaborate  and  offer   SNAG  in  the  Park  to  Youth.  (11yrs-­‐16yr,  Migrants  and  Seniors)   • Northshore  Events  Centre  would  like  to  offer  SNAG  activities  at  their   venue  for  School  Holiday  Programmes.   Successes   • Validation  that  there  is  a  demand  for  SNAG  in  the  Park  by  families.   • Positive  feedback  from  parents  and  families  returning  two  or  three   times.   • Meeting  other  organisations  and  discussing  possible  collaborations.   • The  vast  range  of  ages  and  cultures  of  those  who  participated.   • Approval  from  Local  Council  to  play  SNAG  Golf  in  Northshore  Parks.   Local  Board  reccomends  :   o That  a  "pilot  project"  over  the  coming  year  should  be  allowed  to   ascertain  if  this  type  of  commercial  activity  is  one  that  can  work  in   a  park  and  more  importantly  one  that  can  provide  benefit  the   local  community.     o A  set  number  of  weekends  (which  wouldn't  impact  on  other   booked  events)  should  be  allowed  as  part  of  the  "pilot"  in   allocated  reserves  in  the  Upper  Harbour  area.  The  Reserves  and   number  of  weekend  events  to  be  agreed  with  the  Parks  Advisor  &   Local  Board.   Golf Industry Central Autumn 2014 19
