Sandra nodded sadly, but she thought about it, and she replied
with a bright smile on her face, “It’s okay Grandma, I can say
the words again, just tell me what you can’t hear.”
Grandma Rosa had always been astonished by Sandra’s ability
to turn even the worst situation around and make the best of it.
Although she was afraid how Sandra might react when she find
out that she lost most of her hearing, she didn’t disappoint her.
Sandra stayed positive and happily took up the new challenge
to learn to communicate with a hearing impaired person.
Grandma Rosa, feeling a lot better, she said, “Okay, tell me
what happened while I was in the hospital.”
