adolescence tO adulthood (Soon enough)

My whole childhood, I was covered in a blanket of safety and privilege. To be frank, the first I ever commuted via jeepney or MRT/LRT is when I was already in La Salle- and I haven't done it much (only thrice). As I flourish, I realize that the world isn't candy-coated as I thought it would be. Though I'm very glad that I have my eyes open to the corruption and cruelty and injustice, rather than just sitting pretty.

My adolescence, or at least the part where I have already experienced, was also pleasant nevertheless. I have great friends and family to support and encourage me- and to tell me when I'm wrong. The only real difference between my childhood and adolescence for me is the additional stress and responsibility you get when you grow older. My family was able to teach me good virtues and morals so that the adjustment was easier for me. And, I have also have friends that I know help me shoulder whatever weight of responsibility I hold.
