Storytelling
According to psychological theory, human beings communicate with each other through the art of storytelling (Bruner, 2004; Ricoeur 1991). Meaningful storytelling impacts positively upon the cognitive, affective and social learning processes making learning enjoyable and relevant. Storytelling is also a therapeutic process.
For these reasons, storytelling should be embraced in all curriculum subjects and should not be limited to the English curriculum!
