Having released a debut
album that superseded the
hype that surrounded it and
having recently headlined
a prestigious Radio 1 Rocks
night, Mallory Knox have
arguably been the breakout
British rock act of 2013. That
this feels like only the start
of what they’re capable of
makes their R&L main stage
debut a must-see event.

QuicKsand
One of the most seminal
and well-loved posthardcore acts of the 90’s,
you’d have to be out of
your frigging mind to miss
Quicksand’s first UK show
in over 14 years. They’ve
influenced most of your
favourite bands and grown
men will weep if they
drop ‘Fazer’.

Dallas Green has a velvet
voice. It’ll touch you in
places that’ll make your
genitals feel the best kind
of funny. City And Colour
define beautiful, heartfelt
song writing and their live
show will reduce you to
butter within seconds.
Get sensitive, bro.

crossfaith
The best live band to
emerge in years and years
and years. It sounds like a
bold claim, I know, but these
Japanese rave metal warriors
have an all encompassing
live show that bounds with
unwavering energy, fistpumping synthesizers and
guttural riffing to rumble
your rib cage like you’ve sat
on a pneumatic drill. Miss
this lot at your peril.

It seems churlish at this
point to have BMTH
in a list like this but the
astronomical strides that
the band are continuing
to make means they are
an essential watch this
weekend even if you’ve
seen them countless times.
‘Sempiternal’ is the album
of the year and Horizon
could still the whole festival
this weekend.
