Hannah

At age 10, Hannah was a level 5 gymnast. She was loosing her enthusiasm for gymnastics, so she asked her mom if she could take a diving lesson. Her mother was hesitant at first because she was a very accomplished diver herself and was afraid she would become, in her words, a “crazy diving mom”. Hannah convinced her mother otherwise and began diving at the YMCA. Immediately following her first lesson, the head coach at Yale University diving asked Hannah to join their club team ‘Next Generation Diving’, now known as ‘Dive Haven’. If she joined the team, she would have had to quit gymnastics. She decided that she didn’t find the joy in diving that she did in gymnastics.
