Enhance your Global Skills

If you're going to use Linkedin to promote yourself then be sure to make it stand out. Here are 5 easy steps to give your profile more depth and be more globally accessable:

1) Ensure your profile is completely up-to-date with all past & present positions, education and specialities.

2) Give and request recommendations. If you have worked for a company or someone has worked for you then ask them to write a recommendation via Linkedin to increase your support and endorsements.

3) Networking is essesntial! Use any connections you may know to ensure your profile is distributed across different sources across the Globe.

4) Start a Group.

Groups are like networks within networks and so provide you with connections with people of a similar profession or interest. This will allow you to connect with individuals directly related to your interest and enable more relevant contacts.

5) Get active.

Be involved in the Questions & Answers section in Linkedin. This will help improve your reputation and attract attention by providing advice/suggestions or event debate on subject related to your skills and interests. If you're lucky, this may get you noticed by a potential employer
