The celebration of Barbados Golden Anniversary officially started on January 6 and will culminate on December 1 st , 2016 , with the 50th Anniversary of Independence Parade at Kensington Oval , beginning at 6:00 p . m . All Barbadians and visitors are invited to come out and participate in this historic event .
