The Antigua & Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) has named a 20-member squad
ahead of Wednesday’s clash against Anguilla in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU)
Caribbean Cup.
Goalkeepers Molvin James and Brenton Mohammed top the list and are joined by
defendersRanjae Christian, George “Sowa” Dublin, Akeem “Leppy” Thomas,
Karanja Mack, Connor Peters and Mervyn Hazelwood.
Midfielders Kieran Murtagh, Josh Parker, Quinton Griffith, Odell Murray, Tamarley “Ziggy” Thomas, Tavaughn “Peter Reds” Harriett, Gason “Bubbler” Gregory, Romario Braithwaiteand Calaum Jahraldo-Martinare also included.
Strikers Peter “Big Pete” Byers, Nathaniel Jarvis and Okeem “Soda” Challenger complete the line-up.
Coach Rolston “Debu” Williams said he hopes all players, both locally and overseas-based, will bring a level of maturity and professionalism to the team.
“Professionalism is an attitude, it’s not about you getting paid because some people
get paid but they are not professionals because they don’t carry themselves in a professional manner. Professionalism is an attitude so I hope they bring that attitude to
the team, work ethics, the whole camaraderie and everything that it pertains to be a
good team so I am just looking forward to that so that we can jell together as a team
quickly because we don’t have much time,” he said.
Benna Boys are slated to kick off their qualification campaign in Wednesday’s feature
match set to start at 7 pm at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG).
