Email
Email is the primary way the University will communicate with you . Deposited students will receive a GMercyU email account and access to the University portal starting in early April . Students who deposit after April 1 will receive this information shortly after depositing . Login information and instructions will be sent to the email provided on your Admissions application . Please remember to check your new GMercyU email account regularly as all future GMercyU correspondence will be sent to this new email address .
GMercyU Portal
Once you receive your GMercyU email account , you will have access to our University portal . * Here you will find access to a variety of resources , including the Blackboard Learning Management System , Office 365 , and GMercyU Self-Service where you can access your bill , and complete many other essential tasks .
You can access the portal by clicking on “ MY TOOLS ” in the top gray bar at gmercyu . edu , then “ MyGMercyU Portal ” and then enter your username and password .

This is different than the portal new students use to submit their acceptance deposits . Please watch your email for detailed information and instructions !
Emergency Notification and Contact Information
Prior to Orientation , you will need to register for the University ’ s Emergency Notification System . This system is used to send messages to your cell phone and email address in the event of a public safety-related campus event , including weather-related closing announcements .
To sign up , go to gmercyu . edu / e2campus-new-account . You will need your GMercyU email and password to sign up .
Prior to the start of classes , you also will be asked to provide the University with two Emergency Contacts . Typically , students provide the name , address , email , phone and cell phone number of a parent , guardian , or close family member .

Walk-in support at the IT Help Desk is available in University Hall W104 , Monday through Thursday from 8 a . m . to 6 p . m . and on Fridays from 8 a . m . to 4 p . m .
Telephone and email support is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week .
