Email ^
Email is the primary way the University will communicate with you. In order to receive a
GMercyU email address, you'll need to register for at least one class. After registering, you will
receive an email to your personal email account with your GMercyU email login information.
Please remember to check your new GMercyU email account regularly as all GMercyU
correspondence will be sent to this new email address.
GMercyU Portal
Once you receive your GMercyU
email account, you will have access
to our private portal. Here you will
find access to a variety of resources,
including Blackboard, Self-Service,
and the University’s digital display
board.
You can access the portal by clicking
on “myGMercyU” on the top gray
bar at gmercyu.edu and then enter
your username and password. Your
username is your last name.first initial
(or first name) i.e. griffin.m or griffin.
merv and your password is the same as
your GMercyU email password.
Self-Service
Self-Service is where you will be able to register for courses, pay your bill, and look at your
grades. You can access Self-Service through the GMercyU portal. +
1. Log on to my.gmercyu.edu using your name (Example: griffin.m) and password
2. Click on the Self-Service tab
3. There you will find 8 tabs such as Register, Classes, Finances, Grades, etc.
4. Once you click on the tab you want, there will be additional links to take you to where you
need to go.
Course registration for your first semester as a GMercyU student will be completed with the help of your
Academic Advisor. After that, you will register online.

Emergency Notification and Contact Information ^
Prior to Orientation, you will need to register for the University’s Emergency Notification
System. This system is used to send messages to your cell phone and email address in the event of
a public safety-related campus event, including weather-related closing announcements.
