Shop 225
Personal experience with difficulty finding gluten free options when
dining out led the owners of Shop 225 to design a menu full of
genuine Italian food that accommodates people with a range of
special dietary needs, particularly gluten free and lactose free.
A few customers suggested they should become accredited by
Coeliac Australia, a process made easier because their kitchen
was already divided into zones to minimise the risk of cross
contamination. Other important preparation methods they use
include only using rice flour to ‘dust’ dough, cooking gluten free
bases on baking paper using a reserved pizza paddle, proper staff
training and a triple checked ordering procedure.
All menu items are made from scratch daily and most have a gluten
free option.

Eat Cannoli
Owned by Kate and Dom Marzano, Eat Cannoli is a 100% gluten
free café that opened in late 2018 in Preston. Dom has over 18
years of experience as a professional chef and they are very active
in the local market scene with their vintage caravan.
The business was launched in 2017 at the Melbourne Gluten Free
Expo, where their sweet treats proved to be very popular. Their
newly opened café serves light lunch options, as well as coffee
and their famous cannoli, which has a large range of seasonal and
exciting flavours.
Kate and Dom also cater for private events.
