ETI BASECODE IN INDUSTRY:
Janurary 2009 - there was an inquiry into factories that supply Primark, regarding abuse of workers.
After these allegations were dismissed, Primark have had to work extra hard to prove they do follow the ETI Basecode.
The ETI Basecode is a code of labour that is well respected amongst suppliers across theworld. It cotains 9 different points that companies folow:
HOW CAN PRIMARK BE MORE ETHICAL?
Primark seem to be going out of their way to be an ethical company. They have a full member of the ETI Basecode and are eco-friendly too. SInce 2009, they have done a whole lot of a good for their workers and environment, I can't think of a way in which Primark could be more ethical. Go Primark!
