Pernia’ s Pop-Up Shop to expand its business
Mumbai: Pernia’ s Pop-Up Shop had announced big expansion plans through its newly minted collaboration with Purple Style Labs. PSL will enable PPUS in taking the omni-channel leap and grow business both domestic and globally.
To facilitate the growth, PSL has raised US $ 3 million of funding from reputed investors that include Flipkart’ s Binny Bansal, PayU’ s Jitendra Gupta, as well as contribution from current investors Calcutta Angels, Operator VC etc.
The fashion e-tailer has revealed plans to open as many as 10 new multidesigner flagship stores. These retail openings will be titled Pernia’ s Pop-Up Studio, which is the name used by its two existing stores in New Delhi and Mumbai.
The new partnership will see the execution of 10 new edition of Pernia’ s temporary pop-up shows. While the exact locations of these openings and events have not been reveals, it is mentioned that at least 6 events and 3 stores will go international.
USA: Perry Ellis International, Inc., had announced that it has expanded its license agreement with TP Korea Co. Ltd granting rights to design and distribute Ben Hogan ® performance golfwear in South Korea.

Buildtech & Mobiltech Sectors to be displayed at Cinte Techtextil China
Hong Kong: Cinte Techtextil China will provide a strong barometer of the state of the global technical textiles industry, and in particular which sectors in Asia as a whole, and China specifically, are performing well.
Two of these for certain are Buildtech and Mobiltech, with a number of leading global and Chinese brands exhibiting to eager buyers from these sectors.
Cinte Techtextil China is Asia’ s leading biennial fair for the technical textiles and nonwovens sector, and will feature an expected 500-plus total exhibitors from around 20 countries & regions from 4 – 6 September. The fair offers products and technologies for 12 application areas.
With a huge boom in national and regional infrastructure projects, the market for Buildtech products, especially geotextiles and construction textiles, is rapidly expanding. In particular, the government’ s global Belt & Road project, as well as continued investment at home in highways, high-speed rail and more, is fuelling this expansion.

Nordstrom Inc. store in Western Canada
Canada: Nordstrom Inc. has announced its plan to open first ever location in Western Canada in October this year.
The brand has decided to open its store in a massive 36,000-square-foot space at South Edmonton Common, the largest retail location in Canada, on October 25.
Menswear, womenswear, and kids’ fashions will be offered at the upcoming Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc., offering customers a wide selection of on-trend apparel, accessories, and shoes at an everyday savings of 30-70 per cent discounted prices.
J. Crew launch its Loyalty Program
Mumbai: J. Crew has launched its first loyalty program. The new program is a further step in extension of its loyalty offerings.
Currently, the offers are very standard and same for everyone. However, the plan is to roll out personalized promotions and better-targeted ads in the near future.
The newly launched program offers set bonuses like a US $ 5 store credit for every US $ 200 spent. It will offer free standard shipping to all customers who sign up for it, regardless of their mode of payment.
In addition to that, it plans to offer its reward program members, the early bird access to some of its exclusive products or invitation to launches of fragrances and other noticeable events.
Columbia Sportswear announces New VP
USA: The Columbia Sportswear, an innovator in active outdoor apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment had announced that Mr. Chris Adamek, who has been consulting with Columbia since January 2018, has officially joined the company as the new Vice President, Chief of Staff for the Columbia brand.
Mr. Adamek will report to Executive Vice President & Columbia Brand President Joe Boyle and will work closely with other senior leaders throughout the business to help define and execute the top strategic initiatives for the Columbia brand. Mr. Adamek served as Vice President for the Pacific Region at the global consulting agency, North Highland, where he led the retail and consumer goods practice and worked with a number of clients including Starbucks, TaylorMade Golf, Nike, T-Mobile and DreamWorks Animation.
