Bangladesh : The Bangladesh Government had signed a deal with the International Labour Organisation ( ILO ) to implement Decent Work Country Program in Bangladesh .

This deal is expected to give a further facelift to the country ’ s readymade garment sector as it aims to tackle challenges pertaining to low productivity , slow improvement in Occupational Safety and Health situation and working conditions , inadequate opportunity for social dialogue , amongst others .

The programme attended by Government official , employer , and worker organizations witnessed signing of the agreement by Secretary at the Ministry of Labour and Employment , Chairperson of National Coordination Committee for Workers Education , President of Bangladesh Employers Federation , and Country Director of ILO Bangladesh .

Pakistan : The Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association ( PRGMEA ) said that the new government in Pakistan needs to strongly enhance textile exports and also implement policies to promote industrialisation in the nation .

The poor economic situation in Pakistan was owing to low exports and high imports and therefore government needs to take strong measures to ensure garment and textile exports are enhanced .

The PRGMEA also called the government to immediately take some steps to clear the pending refund cases so as to avoid an economic collapse of the industry .

PRGMEA was hopeful that the new government would take the nation to the path of growth and prosperity and renewal of GSP Plus status for another 2 years will boost exports in Pakistan .

Sweden : Ikea has been planning to bring all of its heritage collection available on the brand ’ s 75th anniversary .

The brand will relaunch Gratulera , a range of ‘ vintage ’ items , displaying the company ’ s designs from the 1950s to the 1990s . Ikea will be offering furniture collection dedicated to a different decade of design .

Russia : The CPM Moscow has witnessed an increase in the number of registration done by exhibitors from 10 to 15 per cent .
