M.T.V. (U.S. created) launched subsidiary M.T.V. Iggy to introduce audiences to global artists & trends such as Nordic and Korean pop music, Indian Hindi language film industries (Bollywood), and more on multiple platforms.

CNN, an American company, represents the global news network. Starting as a cable news network, originally targeted towards U.S. audiences, CNN is now spread to at least 200 million households throughout 212 territories and countries.

During 1987, American media captivated 56% of European film markets. No more than a decade later, that portion had increased to over 90%. Before 2009, U.S. films occupied 67% market share.
