Differences between Ancient Rome and America

'Most of Rome's purpose was to expand their territory or to grow their empire and to concur other empires. Whereas America did have a phase of manifest destiny, but we stopped trying to colonize awhile ago. The U.S hasn't tried to take any land since 1952 when Hawaii became the 50th state.

Rome never left the iron age whereas America is in the technology age.

While Both Rome and America both had forms of government and a law system, the way their governments worked was different. The U.S has a house of representatives and a senate while the Romans had a senate and assembly.

The Romans had their laws written in the 12 table whereas the us have their laws written in the constitution.
