The event that is feared by many Americans is World War III. Things that can provoke it are Weapons of Mass Destruction, also known as Nuclear Weapons. The country that has been mention most about the Nuclear Program is North Korea. Their nuclear program poses as a tremendous threat toward the U.S and countries in east Asia. Iran wants to improve their nuclear and missile capabilities as repercussions – such as a military strike.
In 2014, hundreds of law enforcement personnel were surveyed by the National Consortium for a study known as the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START). The anti-government “sovereign citizen” movement was #1. In 2016, there were 998 anti-government militias identified within the US. The states that have the most anti-government groups are Texas, Montana, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. The amount of anti-government militias has grown since 2009. Peace rallies becoming a resistance rally will create unwanted attention to these groups.
An article by NASA about Asteroid Fast Facts states, “Once every few million years, an object large enough to threaten the Earth’s civilization comes along.” Crushed by a meteorite…not the way to go. It is still possible, though as time passes, the time will come again where a large piece of rock will land somewhere in the world. Even today, there are some that still land and cause destruction, though not big enough to wipe out a country. There have been articles about the earth being in the path of a massive meteor, some scientist predicting that it’s the end of the world. It could become a great threat to national security, but not as big as the past ones.
