With all of the Nazi German government and most its civilians being behind Adolf Hitler, the Nazi army was a very threatening force. The Germans prepared for the war by killing a radio station full of German soldiers and making it seem as if Poland did it so they could justify attacking Poland in 1939. Hitler also said that he needed to clear Poland and the other neighboring countries for the “superior Aryan race” because the “inferior races” were not fit to be in the presence of the Aryan race. Two days after the invasion of Poland, France and Britain declared war on Germany, which started the WWII. Years later after violent fighting in 1944, the war with Germany finally was over after D-Day when 156,000 soldiers invaded the beaches of Normandy France. Hitler died committing suicide in his Berlin bunker on April 30th 1945.
