Lorem  Ipsum   Welcome to GIN: The World Needs Youth Welcome to the Fourth Annual Washington, DC Global Issues Network Conference! As students from Washington International School and School Without Walls, we are delighted to be working together again this year. If you have come to one of our past conferences, welcome back. If this is your first year as a DC GIN-er, welcome. By participating today, you have become a part of a large network of students that extends around the world. In 2014, GIN conferences have or will be held in Jakarta, Argentina, Abu Dhabi, and Canada, just to name a few. We can use this network to solve issues about which we are passionate by: • learning from each other, • sharing our successes and failures, and • working together to implement change. Our generation is capable of many great things, including finding sustainable solutions to the world’s toughest issues. Today, you will attend student-led breakout sessions, listen to inspiring speakers, talk to representatives from many organizations, and network in your Global Villages. When you leave, feel empowered to make a change, knowing you are part of a network of like-minded students supporting each other in a shared mission to help the world. After today and tomorrow’s conference, continue networking locally and globally at global-issuesnetwork.org. Join our Washington, DC GIN group on the GIN website to receive updates on future conferences and events!
