HOW-TOS
Let's go through them list-wise, one by one:
Utensil Handling:
1. Make the use of Utensils from the 'Outside- In'
manner. First, go with the outsides, then come to
insides through the change in items.
2. Hold the fork in your left hand, facing
downwards.
3. Hold the knife in your right hand, an inch or
two above the plate.
4. Use your fork to spear and lift the food into
your mouth.
5. The spoon on the extreme right is a soup-
spoon.
6. The second fork from the extreme left of your
plate is used for the main meal while first is used
for salad.
7. The knife placed second on the right hand, on
the side of the soup spoon is used to cut the food
into pieces.
Table setting:
8. Since you got to follow the 'Outside-In' rule, if
a salad is served first, then use the fork at
extreme left to your plate.
9. Glasses are at the right to your plate and the
bread is to your left.
10. The blade of the knife should be facing the
inner side that is towards the plate.
11. The butter-spreader is laid on the butter-and-
bread plate which is to be placed on the extreme
left, above the forks.
12. Water-goblet is placed at the closest place to
the hand.
13. Wineglass should be at right and ideally
above the water glass.
14. The salt-shaker and pepper-shaker are
placed to the right hand and the Saltshaker is
placed on the right side of the pepper shaker.
