GS&NS: You mentioned being inspired by dreams and the divine feminine in your art. How do those two ideas manifest in what you create?
ANU: All of my pieces are my dreams essentially. I am a firm believer that dreams have deeper meaning & I practice keeping a journal of them. Whenever I need to tap into a well of inspiration, I open those pages. The divine feminine is just one aspect of life, yet it is one that I know well. It's easy to interpret what you are familiar with.
GS&NS: What advice would you give to emerging artists?
ANU: Value your autonomy. Focus on you until the focus is on you. As for my younger self: Doubt and worry serve no purpose. If you're not going to act, it's not worth thinking about.
