Interview & Art

By ANU ORO

GS&NS: Hi, ANU! Please introduce yourself to our readers.

ANU: My name is Anu Oro & I Am A Creator From The NY/NJ Area. I Immerse Myself In Producing Art Of Many Mediums; Paintings, Jewelry, Sculptures, Photos. My Work Is Currently In The Process Of Being Refined & Expanded.

GS&NS: What inspired you to create your two art pieces, “heart space” and “yemoja”? Discuss your process.

ANU: Heart Space was created during a time that I experienced a heartbreak. It was a release for me, a means of healing. I envisioned what love looked and felt like, then let my paintbrush have its way. Yemoja was inspired by my ancestors. Every person has a lineage that supports them; a source of power. This dancer embodies that strength of all those who came before me & have passed their gifts to me.

Hi there! To start off, can you please briefly introduce yourself to our audience?

Where are you from? What kind of art do you create? (and whatever else you’d like to share…)

.

What advice would you give to emerging artists? Another way to think about it: what advice would you give to your younger self?

"yemoja"
