I travel a lot. In fact that’s an understatement. In the last five years, for work, I’ve travelled to 11 new countries making the tally somewhere near 40 countries total. I’ve spent almost 2 of those 5 years away from home travelling over half a million kilometers by air, enough to circle the globe 13 times, clocking up one full month flying in over 200 different aircrafts. I laugh when friends tell me that world travel is so easy. It’s different when you’re on your own in a strange country where you don’t speak the language. When you travel you give up a lot and you learn to appreciate what is actually important. Essentially, you’re stepping out of your comfort zone, constantly. If you do it enough, like I do, you’ll be amazed by how big your comfort zone becomes.
