MAY 3 , 2014 — Okay ladies , rev your engines and start your shoe shopping ! May 3rd is the date of the 8th annual Hearts of Gilroy Luncheon , benefiting the women and children served by Community Solutions . The event features a luncheon , raffle , silent and live auctions and , of course , the signature Shoe Contest . This contest has become a much-anticipated , and hotly contested , competition each year . So mark your calendars for May 3 , 11:30 – 2:30 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club . RELAY FOR LIFE KICK-OFF EVENT
January 2014 — The Relay For Life of Gilroy celebrated the beginning of the 2014 fundraising season with a fabulous kick-off event at the Old City Hall Restaurant . It was a fantastic evening with great food , music and entertainment . In 15 seasons the Relay For Life of Gilroy has raised over $ 1,833,849 in the fight against cancer . This season they have set the goal to fund raise $ 180,000 , in order to surpass the $ 2 million fundraising milestone .

IMPRESSIONS HOME & GARDEN TOUR
MAY 9-10 , 2014 — The Gilroy Assistance League presents its 10th Annual signature fundraiser – “ Impressions ” Home and Garden Tour on May 9-10 , 2014 . The tour features four contemporary homes and their landscapes and one lovely garden on the west side of Gilroy .
The tour begins each day at 10 a . m . and concludes at 4 p . m . with final check in at 2 p . m . Guests will enjoy complimentary light appetizers and no-host wine along with a Home and Garden Boutique at the end of the tour .
Tickets cost $ 30 in advance and $ 35 on the day of the event . Tickets will be available for purchase on the Gilroy Assistance League website or from Gilroy Assistance League Active Members after April 1 . All proceeds benefit local youth programs .
The Gilroy Assistance League is a non-profit corporation of 35 active members providing grants to local health and recreation programs , visual and performing arts , and numerous other youth-oriented projects in our local Gilroy community .
