At the end of a cul-de-sac on a somewhat hilly slope is a spectacular backyard. In 1981 Frank and Karen LaCorte built their home. Seventeen years ago they built a pool with rock waterfall cascading into the pool. The hillside was dotted with redwood trees and ferns. Two years ago they undertook a major remodel. Moving up the hillside they created a fire pit and a putting green separated by a fountain flowing into a small rock stream. Down below and on the same level as the pool is a large bar, outdoor kitchen, seating area, another fountain and a fireplace. Covering most of this area is a large thatched palapa structure. An outdoor wood burning pizza oven is next on the schedule.
This is one large, elegant, and beautiful outdoor space— guarded by a Jamaican friend,“ Jabou,” a gift from Frank’ s brother.
