New Zealand retailers want the opportunity
to sell their products online, but are often
too busy running their day to day business
to even know where to start.
The New Zealand public want to buy locally,
but also want to get the best selection
they can, so we’re doing something new....
something big....something that will
capture and engage the nation. Something
called Gift Frenzy.
Gift Frenzy is brought to you by NZ Gift and Homeware Fairs
and provides an online marketplace where verified New
Zealand retailers sell their products to the public of New
Zealand. We’re combining the voice and products of New
Zealand Gift retailers online to be heard by the nation.
Gift Frenzy will create a “Frenzy” of consumer shopping,
through a one day only, super sale website, especially timed
for Christmas. The public will have access to a 24 hour sale,
the likes of which has never been seen before in New Zealand.
In the week prior to Gift Frenzy opening, the population of
New Zealand will be able to preview products, adding them to
a “wishlist” of favourite items. With some neat tools, they will
share their pick of favourite gifts with their family and friends,
driving the machine of public interest and curiosity even further.
On the day that Gift Frenzy fully opens, there will be
only 24 hours for the public to secure a bulk load of
Christmas Gifts, as well as a few items for themselves.

around gift shopping, creating an impulse buy, frenzy shopping
system where the entire nation is driven to buy up large. They’ll
want to get in quick as soon as the site opens, to make sure they
don’t miss out.
Gift Frenzy will be structured around Gift Shopping. Customers
will select who they are shopping for, from mum or dad, through
to aunts, uncles, grandparents, nephews, nieces, brothers and
sisters, husbands, wives and partners, through to colleagues,
friends, and themselves. Through this, Gift Frenzy is working on
part of the strength of your physical gift shop and the knowledge
and advice of your staff, matching gifts with needs and wants.
Each retailer will have their own “shop” inside of Gift Frenzy, with
shop contact details, address, and a brief explanation of the
shop, a store photo, or logo, and more to help build an affinity
between your customer and store.
The public will be able to choose to collect items in
store, driving extra foot traffic (and add on sales) to the
store, or to pay a little extra for courier delivery
of items.
Throughout the development of Gift Frenzy, we’re doing our best
to make everything as simple as possible for both the population,
and all retailers involved.
