On Thursday 8th January we had a visit from 25 year old Essex based Sam Breary, a European and World Sailing Champion. Sam spent the evening with the Guides and Rangers, he told us a little about his career so far and about sailing and also about the work of the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. Sam ran a series of games and challenges for the girls, all with a link to sailing and the skills needed to succeed. We had a really interesting and fun evening and wish Sam all the best with his future career.
