MEZZACAPO FORT

The Mezzacapo is a fort that was built in Zelarino in 1912.
The fort could host 100 soldiers during military exercise and it was also a
munition factory and powder storage.
• During the construction, in June 1910 the king of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III
came to visit it.

The fort was inaugurated in 8th September 1912 with 20 cannon shots.
Since 2003 it's a property of Venice town and today the fort is use by the
association:"from war to peace" for social and cultural initiatives

There was also a fountain and a big water cistern.
